  • Hardly unexpected, top 10K stats outperform random sample stats across the board. More minutes, more goals, more assists, more bonus points, more clean sheets, and even more deductions for cards, own goals, and penalty misses. The only ‘less’ is deductions for goals conceded.
  • However, compared to last season (incomplete but still), there was ‘less’ of everything. This season was relatively low scoring with only 975 goals scored in the Premier League – nowhere near the frenzy of last season (1,052 goals) with City and Liverpool scoring over 100 goals each; this time, the highest scoring teams scored only 83 (City) and 73 goals (Chelsea). However, even though there were fewer goals, the average amount of points awarded for clean sheets slightly declined too.
