Team Value

TV1

  • FPL has significantly changed the algorithm for price changes this season. The result can be easily seen: total team value of an average FPL team fluctuated around the 100m mark over the course of the season and dropped to ₤99.1m during the final gameweeks. For comparison, an average FPL team cost almost ₤2m more at the end of season 13/14.
  • There was also normally a slightly higher amount of money held in the bank this time: ₤0.9m-₤1.2m vs. ₤0.7m-₤0.9m last season.

TV2

  • Similar changes compared to last season could be seen at the top of FPL rankings: total team value of an average team picked at ₤105.8m in GW34. It’s a significant drop compared to the maximum of ₤110.6m in GW36 a year ago.
  • Even though a lot of wealth was lost compared to last season, just like a year ago there was a significant rise in the amount of money kept in the bank during the final part of the season. This time it was probably caused mostly by the Harry Kane factor.
